Personal Experience
Our CEO crafted the vision from Lipstick Wisdom from her own personal need. She has a child with learning challenges. While she was in the process of discovering that her child has special learning needs:

• she wanted to understand what was going on
• she wanted to talk to other women who had gone through the same challenge
• she wanted information and community in one integrated place.

Although she is Internet saavy, she could not find what she sought online. Lipstick Wisdom was founded to satisfy the need of finding information and connectivity with others based on a life challenge.
 
 
Practical, Actionable Advice
We want Lipstick Wisdom to be the place where you get practical, actionable advice from other women and families who have already been through a particular life experience or health event.

It is our belief that wisdom and advice from those that have directly experienced a life challenge is as valuable as information and advice from experts.
 
 
Launching as a Blog
We are launching as a blog where we gather the best information we can find on the web and organize it by life and health event. As you can see to the left, we are currently covering such life events as aging parents, teenagers and drugs, reentering the workforce, and dating after divorce. We will be adding new life and health events every week.
 
 
Fully Functional Website in the Future
In the future, we will be launching a fully functional website and creating Lipstick Wisdom videos that focus on women and families that have experienced the life and health events we cover firsthand.

• Our web videos will focus on real women and families who share their personal stories on a wide range of topics.
• We will also feature responsible, valuable information from experts.
• We will mimic what women do offline — talking to friends and family seeking information and advice – and bring it online to a 24/7 accessible extended social network.
